Digital Touch Points Seminar – update

Interactive Division – This past week the ICE AV team with Wellington partner, Shout Group have been sharing with senior executives from various well known Wellington companies on a range of latest generation software and hardware technologies that can help them rise above the communication noise.

The seminar series titled Digital Touch Points described a number of hardware and software technologies that can enable theatre, engagement, referrals, connection, endorsement, data access, digital interaction and buyer value. By using software and hardware from the ICE AV Cataloq we are designing unique solutions.

By integrating body motion, GPS, mobility, ultra sound, touch sensitive surfaces we were able to demonstrate how businesses can engage with their fans and clients in a completely new way combining online, offline, mobility with social media and leading edge audio visual technologies. We demonstrated Social media integrated Digital Signage, GPS based promotions, the globally famous HoloDesk, interactive content management, transparent LCD screen with levitating capability, audio beams, real earth audio transducers, interactive glass, non computer based interactive LCD screens.

We were delighted with some of the feedback that included “that was amazing what you showed”, “I have never seen that before”, “definitely be in touch”, “you have give us so many ideas”. It proved to us that businesses are hungry for genuine and honest non sales pitch information, and to gain insight how to use technologies, converge them as we spread out a table of capabilities.

ICE AV and Shout Group will be planning to conduct further Digital Touch Point seminars in NZ to fire up the imagination of business owners so they can create unique customer Digital Touch Points.

Holo-Info-Desk is a multi touch interactive system for many environments

Holo-Info-Desk is a unique multi-touch system developed in NZ that brings the growing popularity of interactive touch control to a diverse range of environments and applications.

Interactive Surfaces are the new way to engage with content. Steve Jobs helped us out alot as he has taught the world to stretch, pinch, swipe with your fingers. We now carry on the legacy he has left us with the with the Holo-Info-Desk but this time you will not be able to put the surface in your pocket.

The Holo-Info-Desk is a large size multi touch solution and interactive content management system for use in a wide variety of applications.

Previously if you wanted to implement large format multi touch surfaces required substantially expensive hardware, a substantial programming budget and a bunch of geeks. Today that scenario has changed on all three counts thanks to the
innovative Holo-Info-Desk.

The Holo-Info-Desk concept has been designed to maximise many conceiveable options and even to the point of adapting hardware you already own.

The Holo-Info-Desk pictured in this video is based on the interactive framed projection technology which is one of the options that Holo-Info-Desk is offered as. The surface is a suspended 6mm surface without an enclosure.

The Holo-Info-Desk is a development of the well known HoloDesk interactive DJ Mixer that first appeared on the world stage when Deadmau5 used a 74″ HoloDesk in his Earls Court, London concert where it became the first sell out concert in the venue. Subsequently the HoloDesk became featured as the first large format interactive DJ Mixer to be featured in music concert DVD by a headline performer.

Tom Trautsch performs with a matched pair of HoloDesk DJ screens

Legendary DJ Tom Trautsch literally performs with “all hands on deck” when he takes to the stage with a pair of twin 42″ HoloDesk Edgeless screens.

Tom Trautsch has a wealth of experience entertaining dance floors around the globe and is a leading influence in the European club music scene. Tom is a DJ Product Ambassador for the HoloDesk and is working at developing a new live music production technique and process based around the HoloDesk screens.

The DJ can be likened to a preacher, crowd controller, entertainer and technician. Bringing that versatile mix together can be a challenge and takes years of experience to get the balance right. One aspect that is the basis and provides a solid foundation for the DJ is personality both in front and away from the audience. Tom Trautsch is one performer that is challenging the sterotype of the DJ simply spinning vinyl and has come to understand that it is ultimately about creating an experience for the audience through the use of technology and music. The HoloDesk systems are allowing Tom to explore the technology process of creating a one man live multi media experience in clubs world wide.
